Terms of Use

These terms cover the 12 Days of Pet-mas website (petchristmascalendar.com), the daily perk emails and the free items you can ask for. By signing up, you agree to them.

1. About 12 Days of Pet-mas

12 Days of Pet-mas is a free online advent calendar run by JPLC Limited, trading as HowPets, registered in England and Wales (company number 12911760), 14th Floor, 20 Eastbourne Terrace, London W2 6LG. From 13 to 24 December 2026, we send everyone who has signed up one email a day with a perk from a pet brand: a discount code or a free item.

This isn't a competition or a prize draw. There's nothing to win: every perk is offered to everyone who has signed up, while stocks last.

2. Signing up

• You must be 18 or over and live in the UK.
• The calendar is for dog and cat owners.
• Sign up once, with your own email address and accurate details. One sign-up per person. Sign-ups made with temporary email addresses, bots or scripts, or several sign-ups by the same person, aren't valid and may be removed.
• When you sign up, you agree to get the 12 daily perk emails and tips and offers from HowPets and its partners. HowPets sends these emails from info@howpets.com. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. If you unsubscribe, you'll stop getting the daily perks too.
• Sign-ups close at 23:59 UK time on 24 December 2026.
• If you sign up after 13 December, your welcome email includes the perks sent so far. Free items are still subject to stock.

3. Perk terms

• Each perk is provided by the brand named in that day's email (the "perk brand"). HowPets runs the calendar and sends the emails.
• When a product only suits dogs or only suits cats, we send dog owners and cat owners different versions of that day's perk.
• Perks are free. Some discount codes have a minimum spend or other conditions, which the email tells you.
• There's no cash alternative, and perks can't be swapped or sold.
• If a perk becomes unavailable for reasons we can't control, we may replace it with one of similar or higher value, or tell you it's no longer available.
• All times are UK time.

4. Free items

• Free items are limited. Each one has a set number available, first come, first served. Once they've gone, the brand may offer a discount code instead.
• You ask for a free item using the personal link in your email. Don't share your link: it's tied to your sign-up.
• The first time you ask for a free item, we ask for your name and a UK delivery address, and your permission to share them with the brands whose free items you ask for. You can't get a free item without that permission, because the brand needs your address to post it.
• One of each free item per person and per household address.
• The perk brand posts the item. The perk page tells you when it should arrive. Items requested in mid to late December may arrive after Christmas.
• You can ask for free items until 23:59 UK time on 31 December 2026, while stocks last.
• If an item doesn't arrive or arrives damaged, email support@howpets.com and we'll follow it up with the brand.

5. Discount codes

• Discount codes are used on the perk brand's own website and are subject to the brand's own terms, including its expiry date, minimum spend and delivery charges.
• The brand is responsible for its products, delivery, returns and customer service.

6. Using the site

• Don't misuse the site. That includes using bots or scripts, making fake sign-ups or requests, scraping content, or trying to get round our security.
• We try to keep the site and emails running, but we can't promise they'll always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or end the calendar if something outside our control happens, such as fraud or a technical failure. If we do, we'll tell people on the site.
• We use your details as set out in our Privacy Policy.

7. Our content and tips

The pet safety tips in our emails and on the site are general information, not veterinary advice. If you're worried about your pet's health, speak to a vet. If you think your pet has eaten something poisonous, call your vet straight away.

The site's design, text and images belong to JPLC Limited or the brands that own them. You can view the site for personal use. Don't copy it for commercial use, and don't use it to train AI or machine learning systems.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit. Apart from that, we're not liable for losses that come from using the site, the emails or the perks, including losses caused by the site being unavailable, or by a brand's products, codes or deliveries.

9. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. Questions? Email support@howpets.com.
